Committed to the city

As a partner to cities, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life in the public space. From poster campaigns for a local cause to the support of public institutions that shape a city – our company lends its support.

I am Jonny

since 2013

In 2012, 21 years old Jonny K. fell victim to a brutal and senseless crime that not only shocked the citizens of Berlin but the whole of Germany. We support the charity "I am Jonny" with the free presentation of campaigns on our digital City Light Boards as well as in Friedrichstraße underground station. "I am Jonny" aims at preventing violence and promoting civil courage. The charity organizes workshops and talks in schools, helps young people to find professional and social perspectives and maintains the memorial for Jonny K. on Alexanderplatz. We wholeheartedly subscribe to the slogan of "I am Jonny": Only together we are strong!

Berlin drives considerately

since 2012

We support the annual traffic safety campaign "Berlin drives considerately", organized by the Senate Department for Urban Development and the Environment. In April, about 1000 City Light Posters all over Berlin call on motorists and cyclists to drive safely and carefully. A special focus of the joint initiative of Wall GmbH, Senate Department, Public Transport Authority, the German automobile club ADAC, the cyclist's association ADFC and further partners is on the safety of bicycle traffic.

Freiburg: Doing good with posters

since 2013

Doing good with posters: this is the common goal of Wall GmbH and the Freiburg based donation platform spendenfreun.de. In 2013, we jointly launched the first competition for the media prize "Gute Tat mit Plakat!". Eligible are charitable projects and initiatives which are registered on www.spendenfreun.de and have collected their first donations there. They can submit their project with a creative poster design to a jury to win a large scale poster campaign in Freiburg. The competition is held under the auspices of Freiburg's Mayor for Culture, Social Affairs and Integration, Ulrich von Kirchbach.

Alliance against Homophobia

since 2011

We support the work of the Berlin Alliance against Homophobia with a city-wide acceptance campaign under the auspices of the Governing Mayor of Berlin. Each year, the posters are mounted on more than 1000 City Light Poster displays all over the capital. Wall GmbH thus subscribes to the message that there is no place for intolerance in Berlin. Moreover, in 2010 Wall GmbH joined the Alliance against Homophobia as a company.

Digital Advent calendar

in 2014

Like mulled wine, gingerbread and fairy lights, Advent calendars are an unmissable part of the festive season. In 2014, Wall GmbH has for the first time launched its own Advent calendar. On the digital advertising displays in Friedrichstraße underground station, we introduced 24 citizens of the capital who are committed to charitable work. In 60 second clips, they described their commitment and offered insights into their work. The focus of the clips was not on charitable organizations, but on the individuals behind them, whose work holds everything together. Besides the food bank Berliner Tafel, projects like "I am Jonny", the memorial project Stolpersteine, Berlin's emergency pastoral care and the "Take me home safe"-hotline were featured in the digital Advent calendar. The location ensured a high visibility for the participating charities: Friedrichstraße underground is frequented by 50,000 passengers daily, spending an average of five minutes in the station.

Berlin Winter Watch

since 2009

Each winter, the Berlin City Mission offers hot drinks and blankets to the homeless from its Winter Watch bus. We support the Winter Watch with a multi-week poster campaign calling for donations. More than 1000 backlit City Light Posters raise awareness for the plight of the homeless. Those sleeping rough are particularly vulnerable to freezing temperatures. This makes donations for the Winter Watch Bus especially important.

New trees for Düsseldorf

In 2014

After the devastating storm "Ela", Düsseldorf is bound to become green again. We participated in the regional capital's donation campaign for the replanting of destroyed trees by contributing 760 free advertising spaces. On Pentecost 2014, the storm front "Ela" left a trail of destruction throughout the city. More than 17,000 trees were damaged or completely uprooted. The metropolis on the Rhine lost a substantial part of its greenery. We support the city's effort to raise urgently needed donations.
