Wall AG has won the tender for out-of-home advertising in Karlsruhe: The street furniture and outdoor media company, located in Berlin, extends its exclusive advertisement rights in the Baden city. As a result of the new contract Wall AG will build 21 modern, fully automatic and wheelchair-accessible city toilets and assume their cleaning and maintenance for the whole contract period. The new contract will run for 14 years, starting at 1st January 2015.
In April Wall AG has completed its installation of WiFi hotspots in Dusseldorf. Now 55 access points are ready to provide free WiFi for inhabitants and tourists in downtown Dusseldorf.
It is a premiere for out of home media in Germany: At the end of August, JCDecaux established its first digital advertising panels in public space in the city of Hamburg. The so-called DigitalDeluxeNet consists of 18 premium spots at Jungfernstieg and Mönckebergstraße. In November the company extended this net by installing more digital panels in the city of Cologne. Advertisers can now chose from premium digital panels along the highly frequented areas at Schildergasse, along the pedestrian zone and at Neumarkt.
Freiburg has become a Smart City, too: Wall AG has launched 17 WiFi hotspots in the city center. As already realized in Dusseldorf, inhabitants and tourists can now benefit from the WiFi service for free by Wall AG.
Daniel Wall, CEO and shareholder of Wall AG, leaves the company due to the expiration of his contract at the end of this year. Up from 2016, the position of CEO will not be replaced. The company will then be led by Andreas Prasse (Sales & Marketing), Patrick Möller (Partner Relations, Products) and Andreas Scholz (Finance),under the supervision of Daniel Hofer who is in charge of Germany within the JCDecaux group.
