Today, Wall AG's Chief Executive Officer Daniel Wall together with Istanbul's Mayor Kadir Topba has inaugurated the new headquarters of Wall Turkey in Istanbul. The move to the modern premises is an expression of the dynamic development of Wall Turkey which had outgrown its old offices in the course of economic expansion. Besides Daniel Wall and Kadir Topa many representatives of Turkish cities as well as customers of Wall Turkey were present at the inauguration.
The new six-storey building will serve as the point of departure for further expansion throughout the country. As early as 1996, Wall AG was the first company to bring street furniture with backlit poster advertising to the Turkish market and has set highest standards for quality outdoor advertising in Turkey's largest city. After the acquisition and successful integration of Turkish outdoor advertiser Era Outdoor, Wall Turkey is now number two in the national outdoor advertising market, marketing about 12,800 advertising spaces in 50 Turkish cities. "It is our declared objective to become Turkey's market leader", Daniel Wall explains, "Our new headquarters in Istanbul offer enough space and a strong motivation to achieve this aim. The move to the larger and more comfortable premises thus reflects the success story of our Turkish subsidiary."
The attractive headquarters are located in Istanbul's finance and media district Esentepe and have been completely refurbished since the beginning of construction works in September 2008. The building's distinguished design is not an end in itself but an expression of the company's overall strategy: "In the struggle for new cities and advertising customers, good design can be a crucial competitive advantage. This conviction is reflected in the design of our street furniture and advertising media as well as in the architecture of our company's offices. They are our calling card." Daniel Wall explained in his inauguration speech. The CEO was especially impressed by the functional elegance and welcoming atmosphere of the new headquarters.
The design of the premises was created by a long term partner of Wall AG, Berlin based architects and designers IONDESIGN around Anja Götz and Christoph Fleckstein. Their task was to find an expression for the increased economical strength and open communication structures of Wall Turkey. To represent the company's transparency and its network of contacts and perspectives, a web of lines of sight opens up from the outside to the inside as well as within the structure and from the inside to the outside of the building. In addition, open floors, partitions made of frameless glass and a furnishing which connects all rooms with one another, signalise openness and solidarity
