In the course of the official celebration of this year's Rhino Rolling Advertising Award at the VELTINS-arena at Gelsenkirchen, Daniel Wall Chief Executive Officer of Wall AG and Fritz Grünewalt, managing director of trans-marketing GmbH launched a new award-category for 2009. Thanks to the support of Wall AG, a prize will for the first time be awarded to cross-media advertising campaigns, combining classical City Light Posters with mobile truck-advertising. This will make next year's "Oscar" of truck-advertising even more attractive. Headlined "From the City to the Highway", the new category challenges agencies to explore the possibilities of integrated advertising campaigns which reinforce classical poster advertising by mobile truck-advertising. The awarded campaign will be presented nationwide on trucks as well as City Light Posters. "Efficient advertising today means cross-media advertising. Customers are no longer asking for one or the other standard advertising medium but demand interdisciplinary and tailor-cut marketing solutions. As strategic partner of trans-marketing GmbH and supporter of the Rhino-Awards 2009 it seemed natural to us, to integrate the cross-media aspect into the competition. We are proud to have launched this new award category and are looking forward eagerly to the contributions of the creative agencies," Daniel Wall, Chief Executive Officer of Wall AG explains. This year, the 25 members of the independent jury of specialists from leading advertising agencies and brand manufacturers awarded the golden Rhino to Düsseldorf based agency DDB Germany. The winning campaign is entitled: "Have a break". The Rhinos in "silver" and "bronze" were awarded to Triball DDB (Hamburg) and BMZ+more (Düsseldorf) for their campaign outlines "Vans of the Wall" and "Viagra". "The Rainforest doesn't die alone" is the title of BBDO Germany's campaign which was awarded the "Social-Rhino". The Düsseldorf based agency was honoured for their outline in the category "Best Social Campaign". Since the beginning of the year 2008 Wall AG, international specialist for outdoor advertising and street furniture, holds a stake in trans-marketing GmbH, provider of large format advertising spaces on trucks. With their marketing collaboration both companies aim at combining the advantages of classical billboard advertising with mobile truck advertising to attain a local, regional and nationwide distribution of advertising messages. This is accomplished by means of RollAd, a quick-change display system for mobile advertising spaces on trucks. It allows for flexible placing, weekly marketing and ensures low costs for production and logistics. As of 2009 Wall AG will be marketing RollAd exclusively and offers customers the booking of integrated campaigns, thus positioning itself as a full-line-distributor.
