Wall AG launches way finding system for City-Toilets

From now on, visitors and citizens of Berlin looking for a public lavatory may easily find their way with the help of about 130 sign-posts, installed by Wall AG in the German capital. Dark-blue signs attached to streetlamps indicate the direction and distance of the nearest City-Toilet. The pole-mounted signs are to be installed by staff of Wall AG's subsidiary DIE DRAUSSENWERBER GmbH.

"Wall AG is currently running 170 self-cleaning, wheelchair-accessible City-Toilets in Berlin", Daniel Wall, Chief Executive Officer of Wall AG explains. "In Germany, this is a nationwide unique network of pubic lavatories. The new signposts are designed to round off our public presence, and to provide an additional service to citizens and tourists."

In April 2008 Wall AG's patent registered, fully automatic and self-cleaning City-Toilet was awarded the signet "Berlin barrierefrei" (Berlin without barriers). Highest hygienic standards are assured by sensor controlled non-contact taps, soap-dispensers, and hand-dryers. In addition to fully automatic cleaning, City-Toilets are cleaned and maintained regularly by Wall AG's service-employees.

The idea to install a way finding system for the public City-Toilets in the capital emerged from the close cooperation between Wall AG and its subsidiary DIE DRAUSSENWERBER GmbH. Besides advertising spaces on classical advertising pillars, at bus-shelters, on the underground, on banners, on bridges and on flags, DIE DRAUSSENWERBER GmbH markets about 5.000 pole-mounted signs. Its extensive portfolio of local advertising media provides advertising spaces made to measure for the smaller budgets of customers from art, culture and local business.
