Ground Breaking at Berlin Central Station

Nine-part bus shelters with bluespot terminals

Tomorrow at 7.00 a. m., specialised international street furniture supplier and outdoor advertiser Wall AG will break ground on two nine-part bus shelters from the Intelligent Series design-line at Berlin Central Station. The bus shelters which are 13 metres in length provide room for up to 60 persons.

Integrated bluespot terminals, with screen menus in German and English, offer additional comfort to travellers. Wall AG’s interactive city-information-system bluespot provides quick, cost-free, and easy accessible information on places of interest, hotels, restaurants, shopping opportunities, and cultural events around Berlin. All information, including a map of the city, can be downloaded to a mobile phone by SMS. Further highlights of bluespot are an integrated telephone, a webcam, and w-lan.

“The bus shelters to be installed at Berlin Central Station were custom built in our Velten production plant. Both shelters offer a further ten metres in length compared to the ones they are replacing. Thus, finally all travellers will be able to find a place under the rainproof roofs.” Daniel Wall, Chief Executive Officer of Wall AG, explains. “We are glad to enhance the quality of life in this highly frequented location and to contribute to shaping the heart of Berlin according to our motto “For cities. For people.”

Having already installed four new bus shelters at Warschauer Strasse, Wall AG is currently furnishing Invalidenstrasse at Europaplatz and next week at the intersection Minna-Cauer-Strasse with up to date street furniture. The functional and interactive bus shelters form an integral part of the modern cityscape.
