Today, in the presence of Mayor Dr. Susanne Wimmer-Leonhardt and police superintendent Wolfgang Erfurt, the Children’s Accident Prevention Board officially fired the starter’s gun for its prevention campaign „STOP – too fast”. Wall AG provides free backlit advertising spaces for the campaign, thus committing itself to the safety of young road users.
This week, 130 advertising posters in City Light Poster-format will draw attention to the fact that children often misjudge traffic situations and the speed of approaching vehicles. Additional posters will be mounted in the next few weeks, according to available advertising space. The posters, created by renowned photographic artist Thomas Brenner from Kaiserslautern, are designed as a wake up call to adults to drive safely and to watch out while on the road. The large letters of the slogan “STOP – too fast” remind drivers to slow down for the sake of our children.
„Children are the most vulnerable road users and have to rely on adults acting responsible“, Daniel Wall, Chief Executive Officer of Wall AG points out. “Hence we are glad to support the Children’s Accident Prevention Board’s work to enhance traffic safety.”
To reduce the number of accidents with children involved, to eliminate factors causing accidents and to advance responsible driving – those are key issues of the Kaiserslautern Children’s Accident Prevention Board, founded six years ago. The activities of this exemplary network, which is unique in the state of Rheinland-Pfalz, include traffic safety education classes, the planning of safe routes to schools as well as low-risk design of traffic space.
Since 2001 Wall AG is providing street furniture and backlit advertising display cases to the city of Barbarossa. In Kaiserslautern Wall AG has furnished the public space with ca. 200 products, including four City-Toilets suitable for wheelchairs, more than 150 bus-shelters, 40 city information panels, and eleven City Light Boards. All are cleaned and maintained regularly by Wall AG’s specialised service employees.
