For the time being, the planned merger of the sales departments of Wall AG and JCDecaux in a joint sales company will not take place. Numerous restrictions by the Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt) made negotiations increasingly difficult. Moreover it turned out, that shareholders of both companies held different views concerning future strategies. "By a merger of our sales departments we could have achieved synergies. Yet a fusion is in no way prerequisite to the successful marketing of our advertising spaces" Daniel Wall, Chief Executive Officer of Wall AG points out. "Our advertising spaces enjoy an outstanding position in the German market, in view of both quality and quantity." With a consolidated net turnover of 106, 2 million euros in Germany, Wall AG is a strong number two in the German outdoor advertising market. Wall AG's success is due to the comprehensive marketing portfolio the company offers to its customers in more than 26 German cities. This includes AirportNet and ShoppingNet, advertising spaces at Leipzig's main train station and at "Berlinale" film festival. Further outstanding features of Wall AG's portfolio are bluespot, the digital customer- and town information facility, innovative transit advertising concepts and the pioneering mobile truck advertising system RollAd.
