Wall AG breaks new ground in outdoor advertising: With its "Soundwall", the outdoor advertiser has created a unique new technology that lends an audio dimension to Out of Home campaigns. "Soundwall" adds audio content to analogous as well as digital poster advertising. The new technology will see its first implementation in cooperation with online music television tape.tv. In the course of the Berlin Music Week, tape.tv, Spiegel Online and Wall AG take the successful format "Auf den Daechern" ("On the Rooftops") to a new level. On Sunday, September 9th, from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm, twelve national and international acts will be performing on three rooftops at the banks of the Spree River near the Oberbaumbruecke. Outdoor advertiser Wall AG will broadcast the festival both visually and acoustically on its digital City Light Boards in Friedrichstrasse underground station. Passengers can enjoy the audio broadcast of the concerts by calling the cost-free Soundwall-Number.
Andreas Prasse, Head of Sales and Marketing of Wall AG: "With our newly developed Soundwall technology, advertisers can offer their target groups a value-added audio dimension. For example, if a passer-by discovers a poster advertising the new album of his favorite band, he can immediately get an audio sample of the new songs by simply calling Soundwall. The same holds true for movie advertising: With Soundwall, everybody may now delve acoustically into the moving world of the new digital blockbuster adverts." Users can download audio content free of charge by calling the 0800-Soundwall number from their mobiles or from a landline.
Thus, the Soundwall technology is the perfect match for tape.tv's endeavour to transform its "Auf den Daechern" festival into a unique musical event, breaking down the boundaries between the live locations on the rooftops and the net. tape.tv and Spiegel Online will broadcast all concerts online via live stream. Additionally, tape.tv invites guests to the rooftops and to a public viewing event on the ground. Conrad Fritzsch, CEO of tape.tv AG: "With tape.tv, music television has found an online home. Every day, millions of tape.tv fans bear proof to this fact. Together with Wall AG, we will now take the next step and reach out into the public space, living up to our claim "Fight for Music".
The "Auf den Daechern" festival brings together upcoming national and international artists, among them Two Door Cinema Club, Max Herre, Ghostpoet, Cro, Philipp Poisel, MIA, Bonaparte, Citizens, Die Orsons, Leslie Clio, Amanda Mair and Y’akoto. Further information is available at http://www.tape.tv
