Wall Wins Tender in Konya – Turkey

Company to secure exclusive marketing rights for 10 years

As the city council of Konya announced, marketing rights on municipal land and property are awarded to Wall AG's Turkish subsidiary Wall Sehir Dizayni ve Ticaret Ltd.Sti. From January 1, 2009, international outdoor advertiser and street furniture supplier Wall AG will, for a period of 10 years, market about 2.500 advertising spaces in Konya, replacing defeated competitor Ströer Group.

The city of Konya is situated 200 kilometres south of Ankara in central Turkey. It ranks among the country's leading industrial and university towns. Konya is the seat of Turkey's biggest university with a student population of more than 85.000. For years the city has enjoyed a positive demographic development, and today counts about 960.000 inhabitants.

With the acceptance of its tender, Wall AG's 100% subsidiary Wall Sehir Dizayni ve Ticaret Ltd.Sti is now represented in 52 Turkish cities. Amongst them are the metropolis Istanbul, and the main tourist areas at the Aegean coast, including Bodrum and parts of Izmir. The company's portfolio comprises more than 12.700 advertising spaces on bus shelters, City-Toilets, city information panels, and City Light Boards with scrolling technique.
